Pentru a valorifica bogatia tezaurelor monetare, a colectiei de bijuterii, a colectiilor de plachete si medalii s-a organizat, in anul 1999, sala Tezaur a muzeului, care prezinta si cateva obiecte de o deosebita valoare de tezaur cum ar fi: cel mai mare bulgare de chihlimbar din tara (3.500 grame), „Lupul dacic”- descoperit la Carlomanesti, „Cizmulita” de la Aldeni- vas de cult de tip monteorean si sus numitele colectii.

Pentru a valorifica interesanta colectie a muzeului nostru au fost expuse tezaurele monetare, care dateaza din epoca antica pana la cea moderna. Acestea au fost descoperite in spatiul buzoian in urmatoarele localitati: Carlomanesti (com. Vernesti), Cislau, Bradu (com. Tisau), Maxenu (com. Tintesti), Manzalesti, Momesti (com. Grebanu), Glodeanu Silistea, Rm. Sarat, Buzau (str. Pacii si zona Obor). Aceste tezaure au fost descoperite fie intamplator, fie in cadrul organizat de santierele arheologice.

Un loc aparte il ocupa sectorul plachetelor, medaliilor, insignelor romanesti si straine, multe dintre ele unicate.

In order to expose the richness of the coins, jewels and medals, the treasure hall of the museum was organized in 1999; it shows some objects that have a special value, such as: the biggest amber piece in the country (3500 gr), “The dacian wolf” – discovered at Carlomanesti, “The boot” from Aldeni – a monteorean vessel and all the other collections.

In order to show the very interesting collection of our museum, the treasures have been exposed; they cover chronologically, from the antique to the modern age, the area of Buzau; they were discovered at Carlomanesti (com. Vernesti), Cislau, Bradu (com. Tisau), Maxenu (com. Tintesti), Manzalesti, Momesti (com. Grebanu), Glodeanu Silistea, Rm. Sarat, Buzau (Pacii street and Obor area); the coins, discovered whether accidentally, whether within the organized sites, were also exposed.

A special place was reserved for the booklets, medals, foreign and Romanian badges, many of them unique.
