Press release
The year 2020 has proved to be difficult in many ways. Buzau County Museum was forced to give up most of the actions that the public had already become accustomed to. However, we managed to offer our visitors the most diverse cultural and educational experiences, experiences that had in the center the cultural heritage.
A major event of the European museum world, so long awaited by the public but also by us, every year, is Museum Night. The international organizer, France, even though it is facing serious problems caused by the second wave of the pandemic, has decided not to cancel the event. As a member of the National Network of Museums in Romania, the Buzău County Museum does not want to draw the curtain over this moment. Therefore, given the local, national and international epidemiological situation and the measures taken by the authorities, out of respect for the cultural heritage we manage, out of respect for the museum institution and out of respect for the public, we will be here in on the night of November 14, 2020 to mark the moment. The exhibition halls will be open, the audio and video equipment will work as if nothing had happened, the souvenir shop will be open, but visiting will not be allowed. We will meet online from inside the museum (headquarters and external collections) starting at 19.00 on the museum's facebook account. Until then, we are preparing a photo-video montage of the editions from the past years.
