Buzău County Museum, a cultural institution operating under the Buzău County Council, based in Buzău, bld. Nicolae Bălcescu, no. 50, Buzău County, legally represented by Dr. Daniel Costache, as manager, announces the implementation of the activities within the program Women's Days at the Buzau County Museum, ed. III between February 28 and March 7, 2018, both at the main headquarters of the institution and at the headquarters of the Ethnography and Folk Art Collection Vergu Mănăilă.

The program of events is as follows:

February 28, 2018 Colloquium Meeting with Daniela Frumușeanu (textile artist), an exceptional event that will take place at the headquarters of the Buzău County Museum, Amphitheater Hall, starting with 18.00. Those who want to participate will have the opportunity to have a dialogue with an exceptional artist in textile art, an artist with an impressive number of exhibitions in the country and abroad, of unparalleled artistic value.

March 1, 2018 The opening of the exhibition will take place at 18.00 METAPHYSICAL signed by Mrs. Daniela Frumușeanu, at the headquarters of the Ethnography and Folk Art Collection Vergu Mănăilă, p. Warriors, no. 8, mun. Buzau. The opening will be accompanied by a concert by the Orchestra of the High School of Arts Margaret Sterian Buzau, under the baton of conductor Florentin Boroghină. Also, on this occasion, the Buzău County Museum will launch the program for the first time The exhibition is presented, in the exhibition halls being installed a state-of-the-art system that allows the artist to guide visitors to the exhibition and speak to them during its visit in a special ambient and sound manner.

March 2, 2018 Starting at 12.30 in the lobby of the museum's headquarters, they will be organized martisoare making workshops in collaboration with the Children's Palace from Buzău.

March 3, 2018 A new premiere takes place at the Buzău County Museum. Some of the most important dance schools in our county will offer free sports, Latin and social dance classes to all those who are interested, knowledgeable and profane in the art of professional dance. During the three hours, students, parents and grandparents will have the opportunity to learn and practice dance steps with professional instructors, many of them national and international dance champions. The event will take place at the Buzău County Museum, Amphitheater Hall, starting at 10.00.

March 5 and 6, 2018 Starting with 13.00, at the main headquarters of the Buzău County Museum, the workshops will take place Traditional Sewing Signs, activities that are part of the sustainability program of the project Walk around the world. The story of the 497 pairs of opinci, funded by a grant from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway. Students of some schools in Buzău, under the guidance of project coordinators, but also of some volunteers, will learn the old craft of sewing traditional Romanian insignia, as well as their significance.

March 7, 2018 At 12.00, an exhibition dedicated to the history of the iron will open for the first time at the Buzău County Museum, entitled Iron. History, utility and refinement. This exhibition includes pieces from the private Răzvan Leșevschi collection and from the patrimony of the Buzău County Museum and of the National Museum of Agriculture from Slobozia. The exhibition will not be a simple exhibition of iron irons, but will enjoy a demonstration of the use of such an object, indispensable in people's homes from its appearance until now. Also, next to the main exhibits, old irons of approx. 400 years, it will be possible to admire traditional Romanian costumes, costumes that have been ironed with such beasts.
