Press release
June 26 was designated by Law 96/20 May 1998 as National Flag Day, being chosen to mark June 26, 1848 when the Revolutionary Government declared the tricolor - red, yellow and blue - as representative of the national flag of all Romanians . The three colors, evenly distributed, represent the principle of equality, their upward distribution signifying verticality.
Buzău County Museum, a culture and research institution operating under the authority of Buzău County Council, in collaboration with the Buzău County Police Inspectorate organizes a cultural-educational program dedicated to the National Flag Day.
In this sense, we are preparing a new series of cultural actions for the public:
- decorating the building of the headquarters of the Buzău County Museum with tricolor balloons;
- distribution of tricolor flags to drivers participating in traffic in the Boulevard area Nicolae Bălcescu;
- the exhibition of two A0 panels with a short history of the Romanian national flag;
The actions will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, starting with 10.00 at the headquarters of the Buzău County Museum.
Access to the museum's collections is also free.
We are waiting for you!
